Thank you to our community for your support
A huge thank you to our community in Perranwell for organising and supporting some great events to go towards the redevelopment of the new hall.
Recent months have seen the Big Village Festival organised by David Podd and his team, and hosted by The Royal Oak. We enjoyed two nights of wonderful music, some great food and drink, and plenty of community spirit.
Early in July, the residents of Tarrandean Lane organised an open afternoon, giving people the opportunity to browse open gardens, hobbies, crafts and refreshments. From pottery making to tractors, a vintage doll’s house, quilts, plants and more, a great day was had by all.

Just a few weeks later, the Perranarworthal WI organised a Big Cream Tea on Treworthal Road, serving up homemade cakes and scones in a lovely garden setting. Again, a wonderful fundraiser for the hall fund.

And most recently, despite the necessary postponement of our Summer Concert (with a new date to be announced soon), we hosted a community cafe at the Village Hall on Saturday, August 8th with cream teas, sausage rolls and refreshments served to everyone including young footballers, families and local village residents.
We’d also like to thank the Football Club for a donation thanks to a 5-a-side tournament. Every donation helps us hugely, and we’re thrilled at the momentum the Big Village series of events and general community support is gaining.
We have plenty more events coming up in the coming months, so keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.
