Fundraising Totals
We will be regularly updating the community on our latest fundraising totals.
We have already identified four areas of potential fundraising for this project, and have recruited volunteers for those teams to maximise our efforts.
Grants and Trusts
Currently there are no grants that have been identified, but this is a work in progress and we would appreciate any volunteers or help in finding grants that could help us.
Corporate and Sponsorship
We are looking to set up a volunteer base to explore this area and build relationships that may lead to corporate support for our fundraising.
Philanthropy
Former village resident Ruth Collins’ legacy, which is managed by Age UK Cornwall & Isles of Scilly and totals £325,000, has been earmarked for this project as it will contribute to the creation of a day care centre for the elderly and available to the community for generations to come.
An anonymous donation of £20,000 has also been received to contribute to the redevelopment of the village hall.
We have also received additional donations totalling £327.85. Thank you to those who have donated.
Total – £345,327.85
Community/Fundraising
Various events and fundraising are ongoing for this cause, and more are planned through the Big Village initiative. We would encourage members of the community to come up with their own fundraising ideas, and get in touch to see how we can help you. Fundraising efforts can be linked to the main JustGiving campaign launched by the Village Hall trustees, so everyone can help add to the pot.
The current total reflects events organised by the Village Hall events team and previous fundraising. We have also recently received kind donations from the Community Choir and raised money via our Christmas Concert – thanks to all of those who supported both events and donated so generously.
Our St Piran’s Day event raised £632.79 – a huge thank you to everyone who supported.
Total – £10,624.34
