We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation
“The Perranwell Centre is a registered charity and a charitable incorporated organisation (CIO). Being a CIO means that it is an incorporated body in its own right, able to hold the title to property or leases and offering greater protection for trustees, who are no longer individually liable.
The constitution provides for the appointment of twelve trustees elected annually by local residents, up to six further trustees appointed by user groups and the possibility of three additional co-opted trustees.
The trustees are entirely responsible for the management and operation of the hall, but are supported by a paid secretary and bookkeeper. Each annual general meeting, usually held in May, is open to members of the public, who are welcome to attend.
The policies of the Perranwell Centre are listed below. Other documents not listed on this website may be requested from the secretary.”
